Growing up:
I grew up in Goose Creek, SC. As a kid I lived, breathed and ate baseball. Playing catch with my dad when he got home from work. It was just the thing that we did. No matter how hot it was, we played homerun derby everyday, had practices, played games etc...

I am married and have a 16 year-old son and a dog. We live in Bloomington, IN where I retired from the Army. My wife is mobilized with her Army reserve unit; she is supporting this “adventure” no questions asked. She said, “Just have fun, and come home, then go get a real job”.

I decided I have to find that job that makes me want to get up in the morning; which excites me. So this trip was planned, very quickly I might add. At the end maybe I will still want a baseball job and maybe not. So come along with me on this adventure and lets have fun.

Choosing teams to visit was not very scientific; just started looking up emails and schedules and contacted them. This has been the hardest part, because I am doing this for free, I think some of them think it is not real, but most have been receptive but some have said NO !
